OUR BEACHES

Marzamemi is only at two steps away from the most important beaches of the area that are worth a visit for the unique transparency of its water and the typical characteristics of each beach.

La Spinazza (Marzamemi)
Only 100 m of the B&B, Marzamemi’s coast as a beautiful sand beach which is mostly free and its Lidos’ equipped with bar and restaurant service during the peak season and its beautiful coves.

San Lorenzo (5 km) (Marzamemi- Noto)
This beach , featuring several private beach clubs, will make you think of the Caribbean islands , with its clear waters and its light coloured sand. Part of the beach is free.

Calamosche (12 km) (Noto)
About 15 minutes from the parking, this beach elected as the most beautiful beach in Italy by the Italian environmental organization Legambiente, in the 2005 edition of the Blue Guide, is part of the Wildlife and Natural Reserve of Vendicari. The entire beach is free and has no bar or restaurant service.

Tonnara di Vendicari (10 km) (Noto)
Located in the Wildlife and Natural Reserve of Vendicari, this beach is surrounded by a lush flora setting against the background of the characteristic old una fishing pools.

Cittadella (7 km) (Marzamemi- Noto)
Located on the southern border of the Wildlife and Natural Reserve of Vendicari, this beach has two rocky cover and broad open beach, accessible by stairs.

Eloro (16 km) (Noto)
This beach is situated in the northern part of the Wildlife and Natural Reserve of Vendicari, this undeveloped beach is at the mouth of the river Tellaro. It has a parking lot nearby and can also be reached by foot.

Morghella (4 km) (Road between Marzamemi - Portopalo di Capo Passero)
It is the largest beach of the town of Pachino which takes its name from the "quagmire ", an ancient salt pan now in disuse, which is located on the opposite side of the coastal road and home many migratory birds in spring and autumn. The beach is free but during peak periods it has a Lido equipped with bar and food service.

Isola di Capo Passero (Island of Capo Passero) (7 Km) (Portopalo)
The Island has a beautiful sandy beach surrounded by a crystal clear sea. On the opposite side, the island is rocky, with a breathtaking cliff, caves and ravines. The breathtaken view is illuminated by the light that the reflections of the sea produce on its walls. The Island of Capo Passero can be reached with the boat service that operate as a shuttle to and from the island. The boat can be taken from Scalo Mandrie by taking the stairs down to the Statue of the Stella Maris Madonna point. There is a Ticket to be paid for boat service.

Isola delle Correnti (9 Km) (Portopalo)
At the southern most extreme part of the Island of Sicily, where the Mediterranean and Ionian seas meet, aromas are carried on the wind across the waters from Africa. A small island just off the coast can be reached on foot.

Carratois (11 Km) (Portopalo)
This beach is located just past the southern tip of Sicily, facing west. Its two beach clubs, open from May to September, serve lunch on the beach.

Punta secca (40 km) (Marina di Ragusa)
LAt the southern most extreme part of the Island of Sicily, where the Mediterranean and Ionian seas meet, aromas are carried on the wind across the waters from Africa. A small island just off the coast can be reached on foot.
